I’d heard these guys from the USA were good live, but I wasn’t prepared for the sheer quality of this recording. Mike Trash (lead guitar, vocals) is joined by Rachel Toxic (also on lead) which makes for a formidably rich guitar sound and allows for more creative and even dirtier riffing. The rhythm section of Billy Belaire (bass/vocals) and Johnny Riott (drums/percussion) pounds relentlessly, providing a solid foundation for the traditional rock sound.

Here and there I identify a duff note, a slightly rough solo, but listen to the rest and it’s not the work of sloppy musicians but talented guys who can really write trash into their music.

If New York Dolls floated your boat, but you wished for a more structured vocal and richer sound, or if Backyard Babies were just a bit too raw, then get out and buy this. It’s everything sleazy rock ‘n’ roll should be, but with 21^st century polish and a touch of lyrical irony. The sex and drugs are no longer the utopia they once were, but the party principle is alive and kicking. These guys will be HUGE.
