Some bands don’t waste their time! Here are 8 new songs from Albany’s sleaziest hard rocking band, The EROTICS. After a few tours in the UK and lots of new fans there, it’s not surprising to see that this new CD is being released by Trash Pit records (the British fanzine/record label.)
The two first songs “Dead Last In The Rat Race”- a punked-up heavy rock song and “Terrorize You”-an anthemic rockin’ punk rock tune both put you straight into The EROTICS’ rawk’n’roll world! A song like “Push Comes To Death” could be the bastard child of WEDNESDAY 13 and early FASTER PUSSYCAT and the band shows us that adding a bit of blues to gutter rock (in “Get Away From Me (Motherfu*cker))” is never a bad idea, probably the most surprising song on here as it shows the EROTICS in a brand new light. These guys definitely have more than a couple of bullets in their guns!
This time the EROTICS chose to end this record with an AC/DC cover (“Walk All Over You”) and they did a great job with it as they did in the past with songs from MOTLEY CRUE or WASP.
Fans of the band will love “Rubbish”, no doubt about it! And if you still haven’t got any EROTICS CD, then get this one and put on “Born To Let You Down” really loud, you’ll see… You’ll get addicted./Laurent.
