Soundcheck Magazine Review of 'RUBBISH!'

By Ian Johnson

Were do I start,

The Erotics, Rubbish, well after listening to the album a few times it grows on you more and more. I think the best way to describe Rubbish is far from rubbish the guitar riffs are SWEET and hard hitting !!! the music is solid all times from start to finish with some good classic blues solo's which remind me of Slash and Joe Perry, overall the music reminds me of early Guns and Roses which isn't a bad thing.

My favourite track has to be 'Get away from me', got some GnR/Stones style riffs going on and a solo which kicks arse, backing vocals which have a similar style as Axel. If I have to make comment on things I'm not sure on, I think the album could have been a lot longer than 28 minutes.

I also would have liked to hear some variations on the vocal lines, some seem a bit obvious. If an overall experience of Rubbish had to be done well I would have to give it 4/5 good to listen to if you love the blues rock punk style.
